Congratulations on making it a third of the way through. Well done. You can do this. ‘Can I do this?’, that’s the question.
Welcome to day 9. I hope your yoga is going well – whether you’ve decided on fundamentals or movement to take you through March (or some highly personalised combination of both – based on the approach of ‘no pain, no niggles’).

Day 9 – nearly one third of the way through. Keep going! If you’re in the mood to continue after the ten minutes, carry on – repeat the session, pick out a ‘go to’ favourite.
The companion today, looks at a recap on vrksasana (tree) and padangustasana – standing straight leg lift (I just made that up)
Llongifarchiadau, pawb! Congratulations, everyone! It is such a good thing you’re doing. Do what you can, when you’re able, and don’t worry about the rest. Come back to your mat when you can. Ideally tomorrow, but… y’know

Fundamental companion – utkatasana

I’ve started with a bit of detail on tadasana (mountain pose) as I think I rushed it yesterday. There’s no companion needed for today’s ‘Fundamentals’. I’ve taught through it – a gentle (re)introduction to our first handful of poses
For those with more experience. If you are familiar with the poses, and have learnt how to listen and respond to your body as it tries to carry out your instruction, this is for you. Remember – no new pain during or after, also zero tolerance for niggles
Welcome, and welcome back! It’s great to see so many returning after our first challenge in January and so many new starts. Croeso pawb.
I’ve changed things up a bit this time. There are 2 challenges running in parallel this month.

The January challenge has been renamed Fundamentals. Some of it will be reshot, re-edited, and more companions added. If you are new to yoga, or need a refresher: start here.
The other way to do the challenge is through Movement. Teaching takes second place to moving. In my opinion, you need to know the yoga poses involved, and how you struggle in them before starting here – you need that ‘reflection in action’ and the ability respond to what your body says. If that sounds mysterious, or nonsensical, start with Fundamentals. You might have a different opinion. Just don’t let your ego decide.
Whatever you choose, remember : no pain. Either during or after – is not something to ‘work through’, it’s a sign that something is missing from what you are trying to do. No niggles, neither – if you’re stuck – email contact@betterway2be.life or comment below.
There’s pages in the menu for seated breathing and savasana. Add them on the end of your practice, when you’ve time, for the full yoga benefit.
