Wednesday Chair Yoga – 6pm 18th Jan

Join in via zoom here.

Or in the room at the MCT – 80 Briton Ferry Rd, The Melin, Neath SA11 1AP. Ramp access available. Just bring yourself. And a pal. And if you like it, invite someone else 😁

I bring my knowledge of yoga and of physiotherapy to this class. You don’t work into pain. In fact, the opposite is true – we move in a comfortable range and everyone works in a slightly different way that fits their body.

This is a great way to do yoga – it is low impact and safe. It helps joints get healthy and gently starts to build flexibility. It helps you move better and builds protective strength.

This is helpful for people with problems associated with chronic pain and/or movement limitations, whether through decreased strength, pain or stiffness.

This class is for people who have difficulty getting up from a low chair, or have concerns about their balance, or have had a fall or near misses and are losing their confidence (and maybe don’t want to admit it).

It’s good for your body and good for your mind – this is a great combination for people with as sorts of conditions, sick as, fibromyalgia, rheumatoid arthritis, diabetes, depression or anxiety and in improving wellbeing and reducing stress.

It’s a warm, friendly and non-judgemental space. And it’s only a fiver.

If in doubt, check with your GP before you start.

Come along and join in. Today is the day 😊
